A volunteer litter campaign ambassador works closely with the litter coordinator in order to report problem areas, organize clean-ups in their designated area, provide community outreach,  and recruit volunteers. This is a great position for someone looking to make a difference in their community! 

Qualifications 

  • 18 years or older or 16 years w/ guardian consent 
  • Time commitment of a minimum of 4 hours per month 
  • Friendly, positive, can-do attitude 
  • Completion of roadside litter safety brief

Responsibilities 

  • Organize a monthly clean-up for your designated area
  • Recruit volunteers and engage with community members on litter prevention and clean-up efforts
  • Report and address problem areas
  • Collaborate with the litter coordinator and communicate the needs of specific location 
  • Track litter collected 
  • Act as a station captain during county-wide clean-ups 
  • Advocate for safety
