A volunteer litter campaign ambassador works closely with the litter coordinator in order to report problem areas, organize clean-ups in their designated area, provide community outreach, and recruit volunteers. This is a great position for someone looking to make a difference in their community!
Qualifications
- 18 years or older or 16 years w/ guardian consent
- Time commitment of a minimum of 4 hours per month
- Friendly, positive, can-do attitude
- Completion of roadside litter safety brief
Responsibilities
- Organize a monthly clean-up for your designated area
- Recruit volunteers and engage with community members on litter prevention and clean-up efforts
- Report and address problem areas
- Collaborate with the litter coordinator and communicate the needs of specific location
- Track litter collected
- Act as a station captain during county-wide clean-ups
- Advocate for safety
